Hello and Welcome to my website.

My name is Timothy Scheiman. I was introduced to computers in 1982 when I worked for Radio Shack. I remember being scared of them and afraid to touch one. The manager, at that time, encouraged me to try it. The rest was history. I found I not only loved those machines but I was good at it. Since than I have owned from a Commodore 64 to Pentium IV. In the mid 1990's I had worked in call center doing tech support for Packard Bell. Than later in 1998 I was employed by Gateway as a bench technician. Over the years I have fixed and built many computers. I have repaired three times as many as I have built. My friends came to me for advise and when they needed upgrades they came to me to install them. I am an A+ Certified Technician and I have built this website to pass along my expertise to others.

My main purpose is to help you keep your computer running at peak performance. If your an avid internet user like myself I am sure your aware there are things on the internet that can make your PC perform very sluggish. My Free Book is almost completed. It will help all computer users keep their PC running at peak performance. There are some very good free programs on the web and some that are not so free but are essential.

Any programs I list here I am using. I would not list any that I am not used before. My links on this page I have listed sites and programs that you should take advantage of. Check back often and add this site to your favorites. Also check my blog cause I will put tips that will help you with your PC. For example: some people like Spy-Bot. Spy-bot is okay but I prefer ADWareAlert better. ADWareAlert is not free but has one of the best ratings for a spyware tool and it works fantastic. Most people also use Ad-Aware. Its also free but Ad-Aware like Spy-Bot leaves some spyware on your PC. The choice is yours on tools you use but keep in mind some do not work as well as others. Not all free tools are alike same as not all paid tools are worth the price you pay for them.

AVG is one of the best free virus tools out there. I have used many I know. For a free virus tool you can't beat it.

Another great tool is CCleaner. Its Free and cleans up old files and history. Its a freeware registry cleaner. Its one of the best free registry cleaners you can get.

There are other Anti-Spyware, Virus removers, and Regisret tools out there but these are the ones I recommend.

Along with these programs make sure you keep up with all the windows updates. Activate your fire wall and no matter how much protection you have some websites carry malicious content. The most protection you can have is you being a well informed reader. I will do my best to keep you informed here and my blog so check back often. 

When your computer is not running correctly or you suspect a hardware failure there are places to go. If your computer is in warranty you want to contact your computer manufacturer. What if its out of warranty? I have included some places to call or contact before you take it to the shop. There are some forums online where you can ask about your problem and get answers.
